A splendid colorwork beanie:
Ombré Diamonds Hat by Miranda Rijks
Looking for a high-impact project that doesn't require too much time?
Do you love colorwork and geometric patterns?
"Ombré Diamonds Hat" by Miranda Rijks is the pattern for you!
You can find the free pattern in English on Ravelry at this link: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ombre-diamonds-cowl--hat
It's really quite simple, with no major difficulties (apart from the usual attention to the colorwork design)... Just one note: there's a small error in the final part, which has been resolved by working the last five rounds as follows:
Rnd 41: (k4, k2tog) to the end of the round
Rnd 42: (k3, k2tog) to the end of the round
Rnd 43: (k2, k2tog) to the end of the round
Rnd 44: (k1, k2tog) to the end of the round
Rnd 45: k2tog until the end of the lap
...then finish as indicated and, if you like, make a nice pom pom!

The project requires a Medium/Aran weight yarn.
We have chosen Canilla Rustica by dLana, which comes in skeins of fine Merino sheep wool from Castilla y Leon:
it is a 100% natural yarn, very "full-bodied," giving your hat the right stability.
Despite its rustic nature, which may contain some plant residues, this wool feels pleasant to the touch and works excellently with needles, especially wooden ones.
But most importantly... it's a magical yarn! With washes (by hand, maximum 30 degrees), it doesn't deteriorate, instead gaining softness and becoming even more beautiful!
It's an ideal yarn for those new to knitting or crocheting and for those looking for a good value for money.
