Rosa's Caponcho by Emma Fassio:
the perfect accessory also in the summer version
During this spring, we started organizing knitting courses with circular needles in our Sovico store.
In the first one, dedicated to newcomers eager to learn this new technique, we approached working in the round thanks to a pattern by Emma Fassio, very simple but very effective: Rosa’s Caponcho, which allowed us to explain clearly how to start the work, how to join in a circle, how to make some decreases and increases in the work.
The participants made the garment (whose pattern is available for free download at this link), in the autumn-winter version, with rather thick wool yarns to work with 7.00 - 8.00 mm needles, such as Olympia by LanaGrossa, la Castellana by dLana and Viola by Noro.
But Rosa's Caponcho is a truly extremely versatile garment!
So we thought of suggesting you to make it in a summer version, with 5.00 - 6.00 mm needles and 100% Linen by Katia Yarns, to which you can add a thread of 10 Shiny Shades for a perfect "glam" effect for evenings by the sea.
